Hi! I feel bad for not updating often, but, oh well. It's a hard life being famous.Just kidding.
So this post is about my 3-day school trip, to a village named Babakan Ranca. Babakan Ranca is located in this place called Desa Tarumajaya, near G. Wayang mountain. The trip was on Tuesday, March 29. We had a lot of preparation beforehand, so I'd say we were fully ready when the day came! It was a thrill.
We went there with two angkots, packed with 18 people in total and a huge load of backpacks. It was a 3 hour long trip, but it was super fun watching the scenery change from city, to highway, to city, to mountain and finally to village. We drove past lots and lots of tea plantations and it was so so so amazing and green and fresh, and even though I had a cold, I could smell the familiar scent of tea trees. Viewing it from afar, it looked like a huge, green carpet enrolled over the mountain.
We arrived in the village soon enough after, and I was very happy and excited because the scenery was so beautiful and so natural. We were able to see sunrise on Gunung Wayang from the porches, it was amazing. The villagers were also very kind to us, we felt very welcomed. Their culture was very different from our cultures in the city, for example they didn't use as much electronics and work in areas involving agriculture, and farms. It was very interesting to note the little differences.
Time went by very quickly and we had to go back to Bandung. We went around the village and bid our goodbyes, then went off to hike to Danau Cisanti. We hiked to the top of the tea tree mountain first, and then walked to the lake. We ate indomie (which was very delicious! especially after a tiring day) and then some of us jumped into the lake. The water didn't feel too cold, so it was super fun. Not long after that we had to pile up in our angkots and ride back to Bandung.
